Murgo

In 1860 one of the most famous wineries in the world of sparkling wines produced from Nerello Mascarese grapes was born. The San Michele estate at the foot of Mount Etna boasts one of the most interesting organic sparkling wines on the Italian scene, a must try. The microclimate of Etna is characterized by strong thermal excursions due to the altitude of the volcano (3'360m) which delay ripening, bringing freshness and fragrance to the wines. The volcanic soils instead give a strong minerality that is felt in all the products of the territory.
